It's been awhile...

Nearly three months has passed since my last update, so again, high time to let all my fans know just what has been happening since my trip to Heathrow.

June and July passed by with nothing to exciting happening but August was a month to cherish. I booked my trip in January and as you can the imagine, the countdown was way to long but the trip to Poland was well worth the wait.

To meet Izz, finally, after way to many months of chatting online was just an amazing feeling. We clicked instantly, which we both knew we would and we had such a great 5 days together. What I will say here is that I wanted to book for 7 days but Izz said no, 5 days is long enough! I think im confident in saying that she has learnt from her mistakes and she won't make the same mistake again! lol

Our time together went so quickly and it was sad to leave but knew we would meet again. I had no sooner got home and within days we was already planning our next 'date' which is in November and I for one can't wait!!! It may only be for a weekend but it will mean so much to me and Izz hopefully, just to be together again.

Lets just hope the weather is good for our time on the observation deck at KTW!! hehehe

A great day out....

...was had at Heathrow Airport, yesterday.

It's days like like these that refresh your energies, your love of life. I find it so fulfilling to spend a day with friends who are scattered all over the country, who make the effort to come and meet for just one day.

It's getting pictures like the one above that gives me such joy from my hobby, a hobby thats growing in popularity, a hobby thats great to spend a day in the sun with.
Now all i need is the sun to be shining when i visit Krakow Airport in August as i already know i will have great company to share the day with. Did I say day?? Ok, then, a day it is! hehe

It's time........for a update!

Hello fellow bloggers! (or should it be, Hello Izzy) lol
It's been awhile since you all flocked to my page, so here I am again.
So whats changed Stu, i hear you all ask? The big numero uno of my updates is that im now joining the lengthy list of the unemployed, the hours are great but the wage is awful!! lol
But seriously, i do hope im not on the scrapheap for to long as i need a job asap. After over 20 years of not being unemployed, it kinda makes you think that once you are out of a job, how long will it be before i do get a job? One thing for sure, I won't work for minimum wage, that's a insult the wage they pay.
I just gotta keep positive and keep myself occupied, no doubt my new camera will do that, along with a new bike, kinda miss cycling and it'll be good to get out and about. So beware Izz, more Plane, Train and geek pics for you!! hehe.
But apart from that, life is good. I do have many good things to look forward too, holiday in Wales with the Rugrats, holiday in Poland with you know who, hehehehe and that is something I just can't wait for. Me being a silly sausage must think about our days in August everyday.
So, what other updates do I have for my followers? Ahh yes, Heathrow at the end of the month! lol And what would make my year is to findout that Rush announce a tour or just another new CD. lol

Ok, pilgrims, that's your lot for now. Go about your business till my next update. :)

New beginnings

I've been waiting for this day to arrive for so many months, if not years, being honest about it. In many ways im extremely happy about it but a tinge of sadness does creep in. Why? Because of the years i've potentially wasted in just dreaming of a new life, instead of actually getting off my ass and doing it. I guess when your in that 'Comfort Zone' for many years, then it's hard to get out of it and now that im finally out of it, then the road in front of me will be well worth it.
Of course as my blog title says, hardly anyone will read it. But one particular person will and she as stood by my side for many months now. I've had bad days, perhaps thinking this day won't ever arrive, good days were we laugh and joke, but she's always been there, through thick and thin, sunshine and snow...lol. So a big big Thank you for the girl i adore mwa mwa
So 28th March will be my new start and i can't wait to get cracking and seek out new ventures, new experiences oh and a new laptop!! lol

Often thought about joining...

...the Youth Hostel Association.

I was a member when I was a kid which was back in the dark ages!! But of late i've been thinking more and more about joining. I guess that on the weekends im not tied at home, there is nothing stopping me getting a train up to The Lakes and having a night or two relaxing. Plus it's a great way to meet other people who you probably wouldn't meet in everyday life?

Just a pity Heathrow hasn't got a YHA!!! lol

End of month Report...

Seeing i've not been blogging much and this is my first Stardate for 2009 I thought it would be an idea to report what has happened to me in January....Nothing! The End!

Ok, i was only joking :)
January has been a fantastic start to 2009 for me.
On a 'Aircraft' level, manage to get a shot on a specialist Aircraft website of a rare plane visiting Manchester on its way from Seattle to Kenya...http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6471533 Im quite happy with this pic as its the first time i've done any night photgraphy at all and it's not easy. I didn't take my tripod and had to balance my caera on a wall propped up with my wallet to keep it level!!
And I also booked my Holidays for Summer! Not one holiday but two! I've never had two holidays on one summer and im particalarly excited about my trip to Poland. Two reasons, one im meeting the delicious Iza and two, another Airport for me to visit!! hehehehe
So i think i deserve to feel happy for January, i've done more than i anticipated and with February just days away, i have laid down plans already as it's a Birthday month :))
And before i end this entry a Rush song just popped in my head which seemed quite 'me'

'Time stand still' by Rush

I turn my back to the wind...To catch my breath,Before I start off again...Driven on,Without a moment to spend...To pass an evening...With a drink and a friend...I let my skin get too thin...Id like to pause,No matter what I pretend...Like some pilgrim --Who learns to transcend --Learns to live...As if each step was the end...Time stand still --Im not looking back...But I want to look around me now...See more of the people...And the places that surround me now. Freeze this moment...A little bit longer...Make each sensation...A little bit stronger...Experience slips away...I turn my face to the sun...Close my eyes,Let my defences down --All those wounds...That I cant get unwound. I let my past go too fast...No time to pause --If I could slow it all down...Like some captain,Whose ship runs aground --I can wait until the tide...Comes around...Make each impression..A little bit stronger...Freeze this motion...A little bit longer...The innocence slips away...Summers going fast --Nights growing colder...Children growing up --Old friends growing older...Experience slips away...

Lets move forward...

Well, that's nearly it for 2008. Its been a year of very mixed emotions for me. But I do think I've had more good days than bad.
Life for me in 2009 is going to be different for me than any other year that I've had in the past and part of me is a little cautious as my lifestyle will be changing (sooner rather than late hopefully) But its also a year of, hopefully, new experiences, new challanges and new dreams to fulfill. In 2008 I got to know a person that I hold dear to my heart, she is funny, clever, witty, a great conversationalist. But most of all she was there in my low moments of 2008 in which no one else was, or no one else that I could talk too in depth. I've found a friend for life and I recommend you all do the same, you won't regret it.
So goodbye to 2008, you was great but hello 2009, your gonna be even better.
